Shop Palinkas Studio was founded in 2023 by Jonathan Palinkas in Tacoma, WA. Jonathan has worked in the design industry since 2013, beginning with his internship in his hometown of San Diego, CA, at Kravet Lee Jofa. From there, Jonathan worked as a design assistant for Exotic Interiors in La Jolla, and then at Le Dimora in Rancho Santa Fe, both jewels of the San Diego region.

Graduating with Honors from San Diego Mesa College with his AA in Interior Design, Jonathan started working as an Interior Designer for Ryan Young Interiors. In 2021 he relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and worked as Project Manager for Carrie Hayden Studio. Jonathan offers virtual and in-person design services specializing in custom and bespoke residential and hospitality interior design, decorating, and project management.

Jonathan also holds his BA in Political Science and French from Seattle University. He is fluent in French has has studied abroad in Grenoble, France and Morocco. He lived in Paris teaching English until entering design school stateside.

He is also actively engaged in his community. He has served as executive board member to the Fashion Club of Seattle University and the Interior Design Club of Mesa College. He has also served as Vice President to the Rancho Penasquitos Town Council, and is now a member of Tacoma's Proctor Open Streets Committee. He is currently pursuing his MA in Community Planning at the University of Washington - Tacoma's School of Urban Studies.
